It was another terrific year for the Balanced Men of Sigma Phi Epsilon Iowa Delta. At this year’s FSLebrations Award Ceremony, SigEps were recognized for their contributions to the Greek Community and Drake University as a whole. SigEp took home seven individual awards during the event. To begin the night, rising sophomore Craig Morrison was awarded Outstanding New Member. Rising Pharmacy Graduate Student Armin Dogic, received the Outstanding Drake Spirit Award for his work with supporting fellow first-generation college students. Rising Senior Ben Connolly was awarded Outstanding Campus Involvement for his excellence in various on-campus leadership positions. Spring grad Jason May, received the Outstanding Fraternity and Sorority Life Leader Award for his work with the Peer Advisory Board, who oversees Fall Welcome Week. Spring grad Vince Carioti was inducted into the Interfraternal Council Hall of Fame for his work as IFC VP of Health and Wellness as well as Executive Vice President. Chapter Advisor Dr. Tom Buckmiller won both Outstanding Chapter Advisor and Outstanding Faculty Member. SigEp also won five awards an an organization. Iowa Delta was awarded Outstanding Community Service, Outstanding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Highest GPA with a (3.53), HIRO (Health Inclusion Relationship Officer) Platinum Medal Winner, and lastly Fraternity Chapter of the Year. “I am so appreciative of the FSL community! As an active member on campus, it felt so special to be honored and uplifted by the Greek Community. I am especially grateful for SigEp, the brotherhood that nurtured and encouraged my involvement from the beginning” said Ben Connolly after winning Outstanding Campus Involvement.
